The Opposite of Faith is Unbelief, not Doubt

Sophisms, what are you going to do?

Is doubt an aid to faith? It's all contextual, isn't it.

If, for instance, you came to doubt the great Secular Fundamentalist maxims of this Judeo-Luciferian culture and its false science (scientism) and nihilistic culture of death, that doubt would be an aid to faith. Most certainly, breaking through that barrier of false consciousness, false belief, false understanding, and false hope would be a giant step toward TRUTH. And faith based on anything but TRUTH is LIE. Further it is delusional.

Doubt IS the opposite of faith; it is the sincere and innocent opposite.
Doubt - "Uncertainty with regard to the truth of a given proposition or assertion; the suspense of judgment arising from defect of evidence or of inclination; an unsettled state of opinion; indecision of belief. A matter of uncertainty; an undecided case or proposition; a ground of hesitation." - this is innocent doubt. It can flow from being influenced by what is false.

Compare that definition of doubt with the definition of faith by St Paul or St James (whoever wrote the Epistle to the Hebrews) -
Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
(doubt is a hand full of hot air, the lack of substance.)
Heb 11:2 For by it, (faith) the elders obtained a good report.
Heb 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. (By the way, this later formula is the foundation of every pagan religion, every pagan philosophy, and every creation mythology, except the story of Creation as held by the Christian Faith.) Every materialist model is "unbelief," a rebellious act of non-faith.

Doubt is the innocent opposite of faith; Doubt and unbelief may be synonymous, because words have multiple meanings there is (1) Innocent doubt, and (2) innocent unbelief. But not all doubt and unbelief is innocent.  Active Rebellious Unbelief surpasses innocence and becomes evil anti-faith, anti-God, anti-Christ. It is an active rebellious non-faith, an enemy of faith.

When the father of the child who had "fits" came to Jesus to heal his child, and Jesus challenged his faith, the father responded with honest innocence, "Lord, I believe, help thou my unbelief." As they hung on crosses, the thief on the left side of Jesus expressed his cynical, rebellious, maybe even demonic unbelief. Can you see the difference?

Belief vs Faith, Faith arrives when doubts disappear: it must be noted that delusions arrive the exact same way. What makes the difference here? Delusions arrive through belief in demonic lies. Faith arrives when the heart's only motive is God's will. "If it be Thy will" - nothing can stop it. For instance, people speak of the Virgin Mary's statement of agreement with the Angel as a great submission to the will of God, and indeed it is that:
Luk 1:38  "And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word."  It was also a great act of faith.

And here is the key; one cannot submit and rebel.  One can discipline one's doubts and in faith submit. So submission precedes faith, submission produces faith. Belief and doubt may argue as one comes to submission. Belief and doubt may argue as one comes to faith. The previous two statements are identical.
