Odessa
by Karl Richter - Translation by Constantin Von Hoffmeister:
Today marks the eighth anniversary of one of the most unbelievable crimes of the recent past - unbelievable because it took place in the full presence of the so-called “world public,” which to this day does not want to know anything about it; inconceivable also because the West, which violently dragged Ukraine into the Western sphere of influence with the Maidan coup in February 2014, which it decisively supported, is directly responsible for it. And inconceivable not least because in Odessa itself since then, on the anniversary of the crime, the events are not commemorated with mourning; rather, the massacre is celebrated to this day with memorial marches by the perpetrators and their sympathizers. It is the same as if in Germany today the Night of Broken Glass were celebrated every year on November 8.
Words fail me for the filth of character that people must carry within themselves to celebrate the events of May 2, 2014 as a heroic deed. At the time, local soccer fans and members of nationalist murder gangs had locked up and burned over a hundred people suspected of pro-Russian sympathies in the city's union building. At least 48 people, probably many more, were killed. Those who fled and were injured were in some cases beaten to death as they fled outside. The crime has never been prosecuted, and the Ukrainian judiciary continues to obstruct the legal process to this day. Several of the perpetrators are known by name. All this under the eyes of the West and its “values.”
It fits into the picture that the authorities in Odessa today have wisely imposed a curfew for the whole day and are blaming the war. They want to prevent at all costs that the crime of 2014 is possibly brought to the public by courageous citizens - the city is largely Russian, nobody speaks Ukrainian.
The Odessa massacre was one of the first major crimes with which the pro-Western coup government in Kiev emphasized its policy of disenfranchising all people of Russian origin. Another crime followed shortly thereafter in Mariupol, where demonstrations were also held against the course of the new Kiev government. The Kiev regime sent in tanks and had the demonstration crushed. Thirty people were killed.
In all of this, Ukraine is nothing more than an accelerant for the dirty interests of the West. It has consistently continued its policy of injustice over the past eight years and is getting the receipt for it in these weeks. The most stupid role, however, is played by “nationalist” supporters in this country; even Washington no longer makes a secret of the fact that Azov and consorts in Ukraine are doing the business of the USA.
I have observed the development attentively already at that time. Everyone could imagine where the insane policy of the West and its Kiev puppets would lead.
