Bond Vs a Swamp Creature

You don't get any frogger then Mark Strand

Strand spent nearly 24 years on Capitol Hill in both the House and the Senate, most recently serving as Chief of Staff to James Talent (R-MO). He served as the Staff Director of the House Committee on Small Business when Talent was Chairman. He was also chief of staff for Reps. Bill Lowery (R-CA) and Stan Parris (R-VA). He has also served as a Legislative Director and a Press Secretary.

During a brief interlude from the Hill from 2001-2002, Strand was Vice-President of Government Affairs for the American Water Works Company – the largest publicly held water utility in the United States.

For the record, these comments are not meant to support the idea that "RUSSIA RUSSIA RUSSIA!" is the cause of all our problems and the only evildoer on the planet. Way more complicated than that.

  • Mark Strand
Lourdes Cosio But they sure don't help much. Though as the focus of communism for most of the 20th Century they have contributed untold amounts of misery on the world.

  • Lourdes Cosio
    They sure have.

  • Lourdes Cosio
Mark Strand the thing is, who invented communism? Who were the Bolsheviks? "Russia" is only one entrance to a deep rabbit hole. There are others.

  • Mark Strand
Agreed, but the Soviet Union definitely is one of history's most evil countries.

  • Lourdes Cosio
Mark Strand agreed. And how it got so evil is very interesting, with implications for all of us. Conversation for another day ... away from our personal spying devices. đŸ˜€

My point with this post is to underscore that we are being manipulated in ways we can't imagine. I think most people can wrap their heads around that ... it's become glaringly obvious. But what I'm trying to say is: it's way, way worse than that. The article points only to one campaign by the KGB. But how many campaigns have there been? Not just by the KGB? And when did they start? etc.

CIA hypocrisy on this thread. It is a documented fact that at the end of WWII, the Doctor Megela-type medical experiments continued with many of the same NAZI doctors and a host of new Americans, under the control of the CIA. When you address that, Mr Strand, then we can talk.

The historical roots of liberation theology are to be found in the prophetic tradition of evangelists and missionaries from the earliest colonial days in Latin America -- churchmen who questioned the type of presence adopted by the church and the way indigenous peoples, blacks, mestizos, and the poor rural and urban masses
were treated. Bartolomé de las Casas
Bartolomé de las Casas was a 16th-century Spanish landowner, friar, priest, and bishop, famed as a historian and social reformer and can rightly be called the father of Liberation Theology. Other early exponents of Liberation Theology were, Antonio de Montesinos, Antonio Vieira, and Brother Caneca. The first two died before 1700 and the later in the 1800s. Did the Marxist adopt it? Yes. Was it a product of the KGB? No. Liberation theology met Marxism at the University of Chicago.

  • Mark Strand
Archpriest Symeon Elias Well, since the CIA was not created until well after WWII that seems to be a stretch. But, that is a brand new conspiracy theory I had not heard before. I'll add it to the collection.

  • Archpriest Symeon Elias
Mark Strand OSS Operation Paperclip taken over by the CIA in 47 Operation Artichoke took the NAZI doctors and nothing about it, you lying shill, is theory. It is the documented history.

  • Mark Strand
Archpriest Symeon Elias you are embellishing rather significantly, but it's a blessing to see an "arch priest" use such ad hominem. Quite a witness big boy.

  • Archpriest Symeon Elias
You are still lying. I haven't embellished anything, merely reporting CIA freedom of information documents from the time.
And as for the "valid information" from the defector, Pacepa, He was rabidly anti-Russian and anti-Orthodox. In his 2007 book "Disinformation," he made no distinction between Communist Soviet Union and post-communist Russia. Anyone with knowledge of the history of his own disinformation knows he was a talented fiction writer. Pacepa was such a fiction writer that he claimed to have "Liberated" Romanian Archbishop Augustin Pacha in exchange for two KGB spies caught in West Germany - the problem is the Archbishop was lying in his crypt at the time.

  • Archpriest Symeon Elias
Rex Christi - I'm thinking CIA shill - can't claim it, surely SES mouthpiece - can't claim it, but I'm thinking it.

    • Lourdes Cosio
Archpriest Symeon Elias thanks for your comments. I'm open to new information about all of this.
As far as I know, Bartolome de las Casas was as a great Catholic and as such could not advocate for anything that was anti-Catholic or destructive to Catholicism, as Marxist Liberation Theology is. Thus I would say it is a misnomer to call him the "Father of Liberation Theology." However, that Liberation Theology might try to trace its roots back to something good, true, and real (assuming that whatever he observed about the church and the local peoples at that time was good true and real, since I have no reason to think otherwise) doesn't surprise me.... in fact, leftists have no choice but to do that. They can't generate; they can only corrupt what is already there. Just as Satan cannot generate, but only try to destroy / invert what God has created.
As for Pacepa being a disinformation agent, you may well be right. Clearly you know more about him than I do, and if that's the case, it's significant.
As for Mark Strand, I'm very confident that he's not a CIA shill. Not because I'm a hopeless normie who lives in La La Land, but because I have some basis for discerning these things and have known him personally for years, but also and importantly, I know plenty of actual spies and disinformation agents, and he doesn't fit the bill. Of course, I could be wrong.

    • Archpriest Symeon Elias
Yes, Classical Liberation Theology, which was an answer to the missionary abuses of poor populations, was appropriated by the Marxists, as both Antonio Gramsci and Saul Alinsky said, "to stir up the natural animosity between groups and classes." Now a whole garbage can of heresies and abuses has been placed under the banner of Liberation Theology, like the Pride Movement et al. This was not a KGB operation but an operation of the Frankfort School, a group of Trotskyite, mostly Jewish Intellectuals. It was not a "communist plot" but an anti-Christ plot here in the U.S. It was exploited by the Marxists in Central and South America.

    • Archpriest Symeon Elias
As for Strand, anyone who answers FACTS with "Oh, that's a conspiracy theory" uses the CIA-invented ploy. From his first words, he has no credibility with me.
